〔自由時報記者劉婉君／新化報導〕喚起全民主動關心社區發展，新化區摩拳擦掌，將參 加明年國際宜居城市競賽。公所主秘鄭道立對獲獎很有信心，他說，因為新化區多年來早 已有一群人主動參與社區事務，希望藉由國際性比賽，肯定這些人的長期付出。 國際宜居城市競賽由聯合國環境規劃署與國際公園協會聯合主辦，六大評比指標包括自然 與人文景觀的改善、藝術文化與遺產、環境保護的最佳實踐經驗、社區公眾參與及賦權、 健康的生活方式、戰略規劃等。 鄭道立說，新化區最值得驕傲的，不在歷史建築與文化，而是早就有一群人長時間參與社 區發展工作，例如新化老街，十多年前即因地方自覺，主動爭取保存，才能免於因道路拓 寬而被拆除的命運。 鄭道立說，宜居城市最重要的指標就是社區民眾主動參與，新化有文史工作者長期關心、 調查，促成春光音樂會、慢跑活動以及街役場、武德殿、新化神社、鍾家古厝保存，也有 清水、礁坑等社區，及西拉雅協會等調查生物多樣性，參賽目的就是希望讓國際都能看到 ，並肯定居民、社團、單位長期的努力，也希望建立區民的自信心，看見新化區的美好。 http://ppt.cc/yQpk -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 115.43.221.136
