羅馬10萬人示威抗議緊縮及高失業率

義大利首都羅馬有大約十萬人示威，抗議緊縮措施及高失業率。

這場示威集會由工會發動，示威者揮舞旗幟和手持標語，要求新總理把工作重點，集中於創造就業，協助國家擺脫經濟衰退。

義大利正經歷40多年來最長時間的經濟衰退，國家債務是國內生產總值的127%，比例之高在歐元區內僅次於希臘。失業率高達11.5%，青年失業率更達38%。

與此同時，德國總理梅克爾到梵蒂岡，與教宗方濟各會面。

梅克爾會後說，兩人主要討論全球化問題以及歐洲在當中扮演的角色。教宗表明，需要一個強大而公平的歐洲，這訊息令人鼓舞。
