防守密不透風 熱火燒軟馬刺

別以為第4戰熱火光是更換先發陣容而已，真正幫助他們贏下這場重要戰役的還是防守。除了迫使馬刺出現總冠軍賽系列戰最多的19失誤，更在下半場守住帕克，有效打亂馬刺進攻節奏。

先發大前鋒從哈斯倫換成麥克米勒，「大鳥」克里斯安德生1分鐘都沒打，熱火總教練史波斯查的盤算是利用米勒的移位速度，帶動團隊防守壓迫。就算米勒進攻端毫無貢獻也沒差，效果明顯呈現。

上半場雖被帕克攻下15分，熱火應變夠快，下半場只要帕克持球，不管跟韋德、雷艾倫、查莫斯或詹姆斯對上一定加強壓迫，且隨時有人準備補防，造成帕克下半場4投0中、1分未得並不意外。

或許可說帕克受腿傷影響，但熱火防守確實出色，不僅外圍，連內線也在波許與詹姆斯攜手下讓馬刺無從發揮。熱火全場13抄截（總冠軍賽最高），更可看出防守密不透風的程度。

有了優異防守自然帶動進攻，嚴格來講，除了替補控衛柯爾（4投0中），詹姆斯（25投15中）、韋德（25投14中）、波許（14投8中）、艾倫（10投5中）等都找到準星，這樣的熱火幾乎毫無破綻。
