武裝敘叛軍？英擔心與俄爆發代理人戰爭

英國《太陽報》(the Sun)今（12）日報導，英國國防部官員提醒首相卡麥隆(David Cameron)，俄羅斯已經派出數千名軍事顧問和科技人員前往敘利亞，並協助阿薩德政權操作俄製防空系統。英國政府武裝敘利亞反抗勢力的計畫，可能導致與俄羅斯總統普丁(Vladimir Putin)的直接衝突。

伊朗為了力保阿薩德政權，也已經派出數千名訓練人員和戰士，與黎巴嫩的真主黨恐怖份子一起前往敘利亞。

《太陽報》這篇報導引述英國政府消息來源，指出「敘利亞現在是個毒蛇窩－我們要對抗的不只是阿薩德的軍隊。…武裝反抗勢力將會是與俄羅斯發生代理人戰爭的第一步。我們已經讓首相清楚此事。」

英國外長黑格(William Hague)已經成功地讓歐盟解除對敘利亞反抗勢力的武器禁運。然而保守黨80多位國會議員阻止英國政府採取實際行動。他們擔心英國的武器會落入與阿薩德對抗的某些極端份子手中。

敘利亞反抗勢力來自各種不同的團體，其中確實有被視為恐怖份子的部隊。
